Ink Still Wet Closing concertDescription
What’s the best way for emerging composers to find out how their latest orchestral works sound? And is it even possible for an orchestra to meet the meticulous requirements their new score demands? And how do the individual musicians get to grips with a new piece? After all, they’re the ones who have to present the music with virtuosity, emotion and persuasiveness. When composers come to Grafenegg to develop their latest creations with the Tonkunstler Orchestra as part of the Ink Still Wet workshop, this is often the first occasion in which they find themselves on the podium of a major orchestra. To be able to have this important experience under the attentive care of a Composer in Residence such as Fabián Panisello – it’s unique in Grafenegg. Year after year, the closing concert of the Ink Still Wet workshop is one of the most compelling and memorable encounters of the Festival summer.
