In 2025 Grafenegg again answers this question over seven Saturdays from late June to early August. The «Summer Sounds» begin with an homage to one of the great film composers: Ennio Morricone. His scores always outdid their films, and sometimes were already complete before the film was even shot: directors built their scenes around him. Frank Strobel, a great connoisseur of film music, leads the Tonkunstler Orchestra.

Apropos the Tonkunstler: who better to mark the King of the Waltz’s 200th birthday? For decades, the Tonkunstler have devoted themselves to Johann Strauss in their New Year’s concert tours; the intricate rhythms of waltz and polka are second nature to them. With Sascha Goetzel at the podium, selected soloists and a «Die Fledermaus» special in the second half, this concert will be a celebration of home.
