Description
«Friends, life is worth living»: Octavio's famous dictum from Franz Lehár's « Giuditta» is something operetta lovers and admirers of light entertainment need not be told twice. Even if they are not necessarily the «night owls» immortalised by Carl Michael Ziehrer, they know well the «secret forces of attraction» mentioned in the subtitle of Josef Strauss's divine waltz «Dynamiden». And at what magical place could it be said with greater justification than the Wolkenturm that, according to the music by Robert Stoltz, «the whole world is sky blue»? In these and many other popular numbers, singing stars and the Tonkunstler under Johannes Wildner fill the air with operetta magic.
