Many people experience the waiting for Christmas with beloved rituals, well-known melodies and a sometimes-nostalgic longing for comfort.
As part of the Grafenegg Advent, the annual Advent choral concert Niederösterreichisches Adventsingen is a well-esteemed highlight during the Advent season. The music program dwells upon the main themes of the Christmas season – from the Annunciation to the Adoration of the Shepherds. The 13th edition takes a contemporary look at historical customs, winter festivals and traditional melodies.
Outstanding music groups like the Danube Brass Ensemble, the Stubenmusik Hans Schröpfer or the traditional choirs of Haag and Ybbsitz, convey a peaceful and solemn atmosphere with their artistically demanding and authentic interpretations.
